Returning for a second year (after a sell-out 2025), Exploring Whisky Bristol celebrates the art of whisky making with some of the most innovative, impressive and inspirational makers and bottlers around. Come and sample the wares of craft distilleries and independent bottlers, with whiskies from Bristol itself, and all the way around the globe from Scotland, Ireland and beyond.
Everything here is made and bottled with passion for the good stuff – you won’t find these bottles on your local supermarket shelves – so come and explore delicious drams in the company of like-minded food and drink lovers at Bristol’s fastest growing spirits event. Craft whisky is a movement within the whisky scene, taking steps to generate flavour and character, even in younger whiskies – turning age statements on their heads and delivering fascinating drams from distilleries all over the world. But if it’s age your after, check out our independent bottlers with some classic Scotch brand names re-imagined as single cask releases and some impressive age statements (and ABVs) to boot.

We’ll also have our retail partner, Spirited (from North Street in Southville) bringing their pop-up shop for all your bottle needs to take home and continue enjoying long after the day has ended.
Plus we’ll have more amazing street food for you to purchase form our courtyard food area (which is accessible before, during and after your session).

Over 18’s only. Fully accessible venue. Only a short walk / bus ride from Bristol Temple Meads. We are a welcoming and friendly event and won’t tolerate any abuse (physical or otherwise) towards staff, exhibitors or fellow attendees. We will also ask you politely to leave if you’re becoming drunk to avoid the further consumption of alcohol – we want you to have a good time, but we also want you to get home safely afterwards. Plenty of water will be provided, alongside hot food options from our street traders, so take it easy, have fun and don’t try to drink everything! It’s a sampling event, so it’s perfectly fine to pour drams away if you don’t want to finish them in the spittoons provided.
So join us in the heart of Bristol’s riverside – at the iconic Paintworks Event Space – just a short hop, walk, or bus from Temple Meads and the centre of town.
